SLU School of Medicine’s Faculty of Medicine Named to St. Louis Magazine List: SLU

St. Louis Magazine has released its 2022 Top Doctors issue, revealing the area’s top doctors. The list includes 98 physicians from Saint Louis University School of Medicine in more than 40 different specialties.

Nisha Mangalat, MD, is an associate professor of pediatrics at SLU and SLUCare pediatric gastroenterologist at SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital.

Physicians at the SLU School of Medicine are part of the SLUCare Physician Group, a member of SSM Health.

In addition to the doctors who made the top doctors list, the magazine also highlighted other work from the Saint Louis University School of Medicine.

At SLU’s Center for Vaccine Development, work on COVID-19 vaccine boosters continues in the lab of Daniel Hoft, MD, Ph.D.

George Grossberg, MD, director of geriatric psychiatry at SLU, was interviewed about SLU’s research to help patients with Alzheimer’s disease, including deep brain stimulation, sleep apnea, and communication strategies and screening.

Ramona Behshad, MD, assistant professor of dermatology at SLU, founded Stylists Against Skin Cancer in partnership with the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, to train hairstylists to identify scalp melanoma.

Sarah George, MD, professor of infectious diseases at SLU, was interviewed about how hospital systems in the St. Louis area collaborated to share vital information during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.
