The hair product Lucie from Love Island uses to create her waves will cost you less than a five

Island of love hasn’t even been on our TV screens for two weeks yet and I’m already obsessed. Things are really heating up right now, with new girl Maura making waves in the villa with her sassy demeanor. But the only waves that worry me right now (excuse this horrible transition) are the waves over Lucie’s head. I’ve always dreamed of super beachy blonde waves, surfer girl like hers, so the news that the hair product Island of love‘s that Lucie uses to create her waves is less than a five, which is a nice surprise.

Yeah, Cosmopolitan reported that the product Lucie Donlan uses on her hair on the show is VO5 Texturizing Sea Salt Spray, which costs just £ 2.93 from Boots. Scoreeee.

TBH, this news is not surprising because the brand is Island of loveis this year’s sponsor, but it’s nice to hear that the competitors really like the products.

This particular spray is apparently great at enhancing waves and making them slightly tighter, creating the awesome surf-inspired look that Lucie rocks on a regular basis. Plus, you can get away from heat tools with this one, as all you need to do is spray it liberally on damp strands and braid your hair loosely. When it’s dry, you’ll have the dreamiest waves.

While Lucie loves this particular spray, she also featured another cult classic spray on her Instagram feed, to which she credits her surf hair.

In February, the new TV star posted a photo of herself spraying Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray on her hair while on the beach. Although she tagged the brand, it is unclear if the post is sponsored as there are no ad tags. Hope we can trust Lucie who really loves this spray, just like many beauty fans!

She also mentioned the product in September 2018, writing:

“I’m not the type to have perfectly styled hair as you can probably tell, so I was very excited to try this ‘Surf Spray’ from @bumbleandbumble. The salt spray adds volume, texture and outfit for windswept hair! ”

A previous article shows Lucie holding Umberto Giannini Pool Proof Leave-In Hair Protection Cream, which, like the VO5 product she uses, is a steal at £ 8.25.

While I haven’t tried the VO5 Curl Spray that Lucie loves, I love Bumble & Bumble’s version. But if none of the products above work for you, I’ve picked out some other great curly sprays to try this summer:
