Rosthern RCMP are asking for the public’s help in locating a 15-year-old boy who was last seen Thursday.

Cord Lagasse was reported missing on Saturday, RCMP said in a statement.

The teenager was last seen at a residence on 10th Street in Rosthern, about 65 kilometers northeast of Saskatoon, around 4 p.m. on August 18.

He is described as five feet, 10 inches tall, and around 150 pounds, with brown eyes and shoulder-length blonde hair.

In a statement on Sunday, police said they believe Lagasse may have been trying to get to Medicine Hat, Alta., and was seen hitchhiking on Highway 11 on Saturday.

RCMP said it is not known what he was carrying when he was last seen, but it is believed he was carrying a green military-style backpack.

Police say they believe he only has ties to Rosthern and the surrounding area.
